ugh. My computer is elderly. It's getting to the point that so many things need to be upgraded in order for it to do what I want/need it to do, that it would be more efficient to just buy a new one.
I've decided to try to get a laptop, for mobility's sake. This way I can take my work to a coffee shop and leave the kids at home with a baby sitter... for peace and quiet. I've also decided I want a Mac, because that's what everyone I know in the field I'm working toward uses.
I have a lot of demands for my prospective new laptop because I'm now a visual communications student. So it's going to be pricey. Unfortunately, I also need it ASAP because my current compy is starting to have unexplained issues and needs a reformatting, so I need to get my irreplaceable creative work off of it.
I can't figure out how to come up with... over $2,000 though. I've decided to make it a Christmas wish and ask my family and friends to help me come up with the money. But everyone's in such a financial bind, I'm not sure if even that will suffice.
