ugh. My computer is elderly. It's getting to the point that so many things need to be upgraded in order for it to do what I want/need it to do, that it would be more efficient to just buy a new one. I've decided to try to get a laptop, for mobility's sake. This way I can take my work to a coffee shop and leave the kids at home with a baby sitter... for peace and quiet. I've also decided I want a Mac, because that's what everyone I know in the field I'm working toward uses. I have a lot of demands for my prospective new laptop because I'm now a visual communications student. So it's going to be pricey. Unfortunately, I also need it ASAP be

I haven't written here in... close to a year. My life is calming down in some ways, and turning to chaos in others. The most exciting parts of my life right now are things I can't write about publicly because there are certain people who don't need to know. All I can really say is... in my heart, things have blossomed that I hadn't previously known existed. Now, I just have to find the best way to make right what is wrong.

I have been, for a few years, wanting to get more into creative photography. I love taking pictures of people but am less into portraits than emotive or artistic styles. The trouble is, I'm too shy to ask people to model for me and when I do ask, I usually manage to pick a fellow shy person who doesn't want to be on the other side of my camera. I have, recently, met someone I'm very much looking forward to shooting. He's a beautiful, tall, skinny, pale, kind of awkward Russian/American boy with lovely long hair and an angular, well-defined nose.
